The first-ever, non-political human campaign created in Sri Lanka, where the candidate never asked for votes nor spoke on the elections.
It's god's gift to planet Earth, it's where I was born, it's where I learnt to walk, it's where I learnt to speak, it's where I learnt to write, it's where I learnt to smile, it's where I learnt to share, this is my country, this is where I live, and this is where I will be till the end. I will protect my country till my last breath, Sri Lanka is my life, because she is not just a country, she is god's gift to planet Earth.
I can never forget them, every conversation with my father was amazing, he told me stories about my country, he told me stories about our people, he told me stories about the sand, water and the sky. He shared his experiences, he shared his joyful moments, he shared his wisdom, he shared his strength, they are unforgettable. A family is built on strong and powerful relationships, based on unconditional love. I will do what it takes to protect every family of this nation. Because it is these families that make one nation, our beautiful Sri Lanka.
This is the place where I learnt my first lesson, a classroom, I've been in many, from my childhood to high school to university. It is this place, a classroom, that made me who I am today. I learnt every lesson of my life in a classroom, most importantly, I learned to believe in myself. I will do everything to protect every classroom of this country, they made me who I am today, a classroom, it is where the future of this nation is made.
That amazing smile, that stunning spirit, that positive energy, that adorable innocence, that uncomplicated mind, that pure soul, there's a lot we could learn from children. I've lived every day of my life as a proud father, I've shared numerous memorable moments with my children, not just one, not just two, but thousands of them, and I learnt very simple lessons from them. It's been an amazing relationship and understanding. I will protect my children till my last breath, they are my life, because they are not just children, they are the future of this country.
This is how we live, this is our way of life, it doesn't matter what religion, it doesn't matter what race, it doesn't matter what caste, we live together, we are united Sri Lankans. I've lived every day of my life as a proud Sri Lankan, for reasons more than one, this is one of them, my people. I will protect my people till my last breath, they are my life, because they are not just people, they are an amazing human race.
